Hi, I’m Iago (@delthia is usually my username), and I’ve helped translate the website into Spanish and, now, I’m helping a bit more on the coordination side of things when it comes to translations in AntennaPod.

Hello there ! I am a long time user and ended up translating app for the French language.
I also try to help as much as I can, which is mainly on the forum. Yet now that there is more people here my intervention are more sporadic!

Hi, everyone!
I’m @OlliesGudh here and on Github. I’ve been using AntennaPod consistenly for over a year or so and it finally clicked to me that I could join the community and help the project. Main motivating factors were: 1) the app is very high quality for an open-source project, 2) I’ve been using a lot, so I thought I should retribute somehow and 3) there’s my chance to improve my language skills.
AntennaPod is my priority translation-wise even though I’m still figuring out Weblate platform, but I’ve been taking some side FOSS apps that I use daily to translate. As of today, I don’t have the skills to code, but that is also a goal for the long run.
I’m glad I found AntennaPod!

Starting with a new tool is always a bit challenging. (And we can always request improvements to Weblate team.)
Not sure if I introducing myself actually makes sense in this thread. Years ago I started off helping AntennaPod as a translator for Dutch. But now I’m more focussed on comms, UX and general project management. Not really doing translations too much any-more – glad others have picked that up! Oh well, consider that my introduction

With CN you mean Chinese, right Hao? Do you do both Traditional and Simplified? (Wondering how different they are - would a native speaker from either side be able to to understand each-other?)
And that’s an interesting combination of languages Anita! A polish living in Norway? Norwegian partner? (My partner is French native – sometimes I make him proofread French replies on social media and Google Play reviews. I don’t trust my french skills enough to just post 
)

No, I neither live in Norway nor is my partner Norwegian 
I just started learning it for fun after I found out about Ylvis comedians (known by “What does the fox say”). My partner speaks Bengali and Hindi, but I cannot speak those yet Currently learning some German as well.
I am wondering what is the process of approving the translations, and who and what is needed for that as I am wondering maybe I could help with that

Hi! I’m Mike, @Jimby86 is my username. I joined recently Weblate. I tried to translate apps or websites into French, then I jumped on the AntennaPod project because I love music. So guide me on that translation path.
I speak French, English, Spanish and a little bit of Portuguese. Hope these skills will help the community.

Hey! I’ve gone through most of the Norwegian Bokmål translations, making sure the words are correctly translated, consistent in wording and form, and with the right punctuation according to Bokmål standards (as set by Språkrådet). I am an active contributor to Bokmål Wikipedia, and I have a small background within video game translation. I also contribute to the Bokmål translation of the MediaWiki software, as well as other Wikimedia ventures.
I came across AntennaPod after ditching Spotify, and as I couldn’t figure out a way to swap the language of the app on my phone, I decided to look into how I could fix the errors I spotted!

IRL I’m José M. , ghose is my internet persona almost everywhere (and weblate)
I completed first AntennaPod translation to galician (gl) in Transifex and I try to improve it and keep it updated since then. Since it has moved to weblate we (delthia’s contribution) also completed documentation and website translation
I contribute to many free (and open source) software, my main focus is outside big projects that already have a team working on them, filling the gaps with that small projects that make our life better. I’m a native speaker without formal education on translation, very commited tho

I’m Kerry from Taiwan. I mainly work on Traditional Chinese (zh-TW) translations and enjoy making apps and websites sound natural and localized for users in Taiwan. I’d love to help review or improve existing translations, especially in UI wording and technical terms. Looking forward to collaborating with everyone and learning from your experiences!
Apart from the writing system, there are quite a few differences in vocabulary and expressions between Traditional and Simplified Chinese. Most people can still read and understand both, but some words or phrases might have different meanings or be used differently depending on the region.
